Clinics & Services

asthma_inhaler_3Chronic Disease Management – regular appointments with our nursing team to help manage chronic problems such as asthma, and high blood pressure.

Diabetes Care – nurse led service to manage patients with diabetes from diagnosis to long term care and follow up.

Maternity Care - Care during pregnancy is provided in the practice antenatal clinica by our GPs in conjunction with Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital

Baby Clinic – a walk-in clinic for advice and weight checking. Vaccinations for all children up to age 5 by appointment only. This operates on Thursdays from 13:45 – 15:00.

Vaccinations and Travel Clinic – routine and travel vaccinations for all ages are available. This is a nurse led service. We also run a flu jab clinic in October. Ask at reception for further information.

 

IUCD (‘Coil’) Fitting – contraception advice is available from all practitioners. IUCD fitting is available Tuesday and Friday. Please book an appointment with a doctor to discuss further. Your guide to contraception

Implant Fitting – the contraceptive implant ‘Implanon’ is fitted by Dr Morris. Pleases arrange an appointment to discuss with her if this interests you.

pregnant_lady1Smoking Cessation – we provide a nurse led stop smoking service. Please make an appointment with the team to discuss.

Minor Surgery – our doctors undertake minor procedures for some skin problems. We also perform cryotherapy for some conditions.

Dietician – we have a dietician who provides advice on diet and lifestyle choices.

Chiropody – this runs weekly to deal with common foot and nail conditions. Please ask at reception for details of how to refer yourself.

Psychologist – we have a psychologist based 2 days per week to help manage a range of mental health problems.  There is no need to see a GP – contact them directly or look at their leaflet here.

Counselling – we have a practice based counsellor who can be accessed by our patients. There is no need to see a GP – contact them directly or look at their leaflet here.

GP Appointments:

For GP Access at the centre, they operate a responsive Telephone Access System. To contact a GP at Waterloo Health Centre: Contact the surgery on 020 7928 4049 between 08:00 and 16:00 (up to 18:30 for emergencies). Leave your details with reception team. A GP will contact you to discuss your problem in a telephone appointment (where possible within one hour of your call).

The GP will then decide if you need to be seen at the Practice and will offer you an appointment on the same day if possible.
